When you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation contributes 0.5 percent of eligible purchases to the charity of your choice. If you shop on Amazon frequently, this is a great way to give back – without much effort. All you have to do is make a couple of mouse clicks next time you are shopping and you will help the Foundation’s efforts.
It’s important to note that the Foundation relies on outside funding for its work. Donations from individual funders are key to our success and YOU can make a difference, using AmazonSmile. Here’s how it works:
- All you have to do is visit amazon.com (amazon.com and Amazon mobile app purchases do not apply) to set aside 0.5 percent of eligible purchases to support the Foundation.
- There is no cost to you, and 100 percent of the donation generated from eligible purchases goes to the Foundation.
- All that is needed is an Amazon account. When you visit the smile.amazon.com site, you will be asked to log in to your regular Amazon account, using your existing username and password (a separate account for AmazonSmile is not required).
- You will then be asked to select the charity you want to support – and you can designate the PhRMA Foundation. During future visits to the site, AmazonSmile will remember your selection and apply your eligible purchases towards a PhRMA Foundation contribution.
